Over the past five years, I have experienced a particularly significant and transformative period in my life. My journey in the field of Aerospace did not remain limited to academic studies alone; it evolved into a broader path of knowledge, experiences, and personal development.
In September 2024, I completed my undergraduate studies in Aerospace at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Beyond the high academic standards and the guidance of outstanding professors, I also participated in conferences, specialized seminars, and networking events with companies in the aerospace sector, all of which significantly broadened my knowledge and strengthened my professional outlook.
Alongside my undergraduate studies, I worked consistently toward achieving another important goal: securing a full scholarship for postgraduate studies abroad. With the invaluable guidance of the Head of the Department, Professor Vaios Lappas, as well as the continuous support of my family and close circle, I succeeded in accomplishing this goal. As a result, in November 2024 I began my Master’s program in Aerospace at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, opening a new and particularly important chapter in my academic and professional journey.
My experience at Cranfield has proven to be highly dynamic, both academically and practically. Shortly after the start of my studies, I had the honor of taking on the role of President of the student community active in the UAV sector. One of the most significant experiences during this period was participating in and leading our team in the international competition IMechE UAS Challenge 2025.
At the same time, I also joined the CraneAERO team, contributing to the design of an innovative eVTOL aircraft that will compete in the international GoAERO competition. The final phase of the competition will take place at NASA Ames in February 2027.
Looking back, I feel deeply grateful for the experiences, knowledge, and people who contributed to the achievement of these goals. Today, I feel ready and confident to take the next step in my professional journey, actively contributing to the defense industry and to the development of innovative aerial systems.
