Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Technical Project Manager to drive our research and development activities within the EUSPA and ESA frameworks. This role is ideal for a telecommunications professional with satellite or space experience who enjoys a mix of project organization and technical contribution. You will be the focal point for project execution, ensuring that our technical milestones in satcoms and advanced networking are met on time and to the highest institutional standards.

Responsibilities

Project Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of EU and ESA projects, including planning, resource tracking, and monitoring of technical work packages. Technical Documentation: Lead the authoring of technical deliverables, research proposals, and periodic progress reports for institutional reviewers. Consortium Coordination: Act as the primary link between internal engineering teams and external international partners; organizing meetings and ensuring clear communication. Technical Contribution: Review system-level documentation and perform technical analyses (e.g., system architecture reviews or data collection) to ensure project alignment. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all project activities adhere to ESA/EC administrative and technical requirements, tracking milestones and deliverables with precision. Qualifications

Educational Background: Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Domain Experience: Proven professional background in Telecommunications with specific experience in Satellite or Space systems.
Institutional Knowledge: Experience working on ESA or EU-funded technical projects (e.g., Horizon Europe/H2020 and EUSPA) is essential.
Network & Software Skills: * Solid understanding of network concepts (IP, routing, cloud, 5G architectures).
Practical knowledge of Python or similar scripting tools for technical tasks.
Language: Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
Residency: Must be currently resident in Athens and capable of regular commuting to our Athens office.
Managerial & Leadership Skills

Ownership: A proactive "sense of ownership" over project success and delivery timelines.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across multicultural consortia.
Reliability: Ability to manage multiple tasks of medium-to-high complexity independently.
Team-Oriented: A supportive team player who can guide junior staff while reporting effectively to senior management.
Desired Skills

Exposure to 5G/6G NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks), Software Defined Radio (SDR), or satellite ground/space segments.
Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA) or familiarity with cloud-native tools.
