ALTUS LSA is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to support and supervise day-to-day UAS flight activities across civil and defence projects in Greece and internationally.
The role focuses on UAS flight supervision and coordination, ensuring that approved procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures are applied during mission preparation and execution.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise day-to-day UAS flight operations, including VLOS and BVLOS missions conducted under the Specific Category, PDRA, and LUC-based privileges
• Supervise the preparation and execution of operational plans, CONOPS, and mission documentation
• Ensure operational activities are conducted in accordance with EASA regulations (EU 2019/947 and EU 2019/945), SORA, and national authority requirements
• Support coordination with Competent Authorities and relevant stakeholders for operational approvals and oversight activities
• Participate in field operations, deployments, including travel within Greece and internationally as required by operational needs
• Supervise flight crews, ground crews, and mission assets during operational deployment
• Supervise flight test activities, including coordination of crews and assets, in accordance with approved procedures and instructions
• Support operational risk assessments by providing operational input and field feedback under the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Supervise the collection, logging, and reporting of operational data related to flight activities.
• Monitor day-to-day operational compliance during mission execution
Required Profile
• Experience in UAS and/or aviation operations in a supervisory, coordination, or support role
• General working knowledge of the EASA UAS regulatory framework
• Experience supporting mission planning and operational execution
• Ability to work with established procedures and apply them consistently
• Basic understanding of operational risk and safety practices in aviation or UAS environments
• Fluent command of the Greek language, written and spoke
Education & Training
• Degree or equivalent professional experience (5–7 years) in aviation, aerospace, or UAS operations
• UAS Remote Pilot Licence (A1–A2/A3, STS, or Specific Category), or equivalent operational qualification
• Training or exposure to operational safety, risk assessment, or Safety Management Systems (SMS)
• Familiarity with EASA UAS operational frameworks through formal training or applied operational experience
Additional Skills
• English language proficiency (written and spoken)
• Proficient use of MS Office and standard office IT tools
• Ability to work with digital documentation and reporting systems
Personal Attributes
· Reliable and consistent in following procedures and instructions
· Able to remain calm in operational or time-sensitive situations
· Team-oriented and comfortable working within defined roles and reporting lines
Advantageous Criteria
• Aviation licences (PPL or Higher)
• ATCO or airspace coordination experience
• ICAO English Certification
• R/T license
• Experience in BVLOS operations
